Outpatient Care – Lymphedema Program

Outpatient Care – Lymphedema Program

Perfecting the Art of Recovery – One Compression at a Time

What Is Lymphedema?

Lymphedema is a condition that causes swelling in the arms and legs when your lymph nodes are unable to drain lymph fluids from the body. It can occur for a variety of reasons, such as after an injury or as a result of cancer treatment.

What Does the Therapy Look Like?

Stone Rehab specialists can help you recover your mobility and reduce the pain and swelling associated with lymphedema. Therapy may include hygiene/skincare, exercise, positioning, manual lymph drainage/massage, compression wrapping with short-stretch bandages, and determination of best compression garments for long-term use.

Why Stone Rehab?

Stone Rehab strives to treat each patient so they can enjoy a better quality of life. That means we address the physical, emotional, spiritual, and social lives of each patient. We have programming, events, educational seminars and employees or special guests that can offer insight on each. In order to be able to live each day to the fullest, we will help your loved one appreciate each day for what it offers.

If you are currently receiving inpatient therapy at Stone Rehab and want to discuss transitioning to outpatient care once you return home, talk with a member of your current team and they can help you start the process.
